Never. The Free plan requires no credit card. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial — no card needed until you're ready to commit.
What happens to my community if I don't upgrade after the trial?
We'll reach out personally before your trial ends. If you've created a private Space and decide not to continue, you can keep it as a free public Space or we'll help you download your content before it's removed.
Can I have more than one Space on Starter?
Starter includes 3 Spaces. If you need more, Growth gives you 9 Spaces and unlocks moderated Spaces and engagement analytics. For unlimited Spaces, Enterprise is the right fit.
How does pricing work for large districts or state-wide deployments?
Enterprise pricing is always custom — scoped to your organization's size, structure, and goals. We never charge per seat, so growth never costs more than it should.
Can a PD provider or association pass CoLab costs to their clients?
Absolutely. Many organizations factor their CoLab subscription into program costs. The Growth plan in particular is designed for organizations running multiple programs across districts.

Launch Pad is CoLab's opportunity board — a place where educators can post and match on collaborators, peer feedback, projects, and opportunities. Enterprise members can post and discover within their own organization and across the full CoLab enterprise network, connecting with partner districts, PD providers, and organizations.
