Our commitment
CoLab Education is committed to making our platform accessible to the entire education ecosystem. We are working to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for digital accessibility, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we design, build, and improve our platform.
What we do
Accessibility is built into our development process. Our current practices include:
Regular automated accessibility testing across the platform using industry-standard tools, with findings logged and prioritized alongside our engineering work
Use of semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, and keyboard-accessible interactions as part of our standard development practice
A prioritized remediation backlog, with serious issues addressed first
Accessibility considerations included in design and product reviews for new features
We recognize that accessibility is a continuous process, not a one-time project. As our platform evolves, we remain committed to identifying issues, addressing them, and improving the experience for all users.
Standards we follow
Our work is guided by:
WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the standard for web content accessibility set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, where applicable to our public-sector partners
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), reflecting our Canadian roots
Conformance documentation
We have prepared a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) / Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) for the CoLab platform. Organizations evaluating CoLab for procurement can request the most recent version by contacting our team.
